The unique feel of staying in an old monastery adds a special charm to the experience. The chapel where breakfast is served creates a memorable atmosphere. I really enjoyed the spacious room with character, featuring comfy bedding. The view from my attic room overlooking the church tower was stunning, especially at dawn. However, there were some hiccups. The air conditioning didn’t function properly, which made it uncomfortable during the warm evenings. The bathroom also lacked proper ventilation, and I found the shower floor a bit slippery, needing extra caution. I appreciated how the staff was willing to help, especially in finding alternative accommodations when my initial room had no hot water. The breakfast offered was varied and exceeded my expectations. the experience definitely ranks high on my list of hotel highlights. Still, the inconsistency in the amenities held the stay back from perfection.

Just an appropriate option for a weekend pause in Ghent with best value for money ratio. The bathroom was lovely and the bath was really big. Check if you’re okay with a bit of street noise.

I had a great time with my friends during our stay. The breakfast options were fantastic, and the quiet atmosphere made for a relaxing experience. We visited the nearby historic sites, which were super easy to get to. The staff were friendly and made our stay enjoyable!
My friend did encounter a frustrating experience with noise late into the night from a wedding reception, which affected their sleep.

The hotel features a stunning chapel, adding a unique historic element to the stay. Rooms are spacious, offering comfortable amenities. Tea and coffee supplies for a convenient experience. The breakfast variety is rich, providing a delightful way to start the day.
Be prepared for an abundance of stairs, which can be challenging for some travelers. On the dining front, the breakfast doesn't quite match its price tag. at €17.50 per person, replenishment issues might leave you wanting. The bar service lacks efficiency and could benefit from more attentive staffing, especially during peak hours.
